This is the first collection by Thaidhg Uí Chaoinleáin although he has been composing poems for a long time. This collection is a journey of exploration that explores his personal development as a modern Irishman who shows his love for his native language, his family and his friends.
The author has a deep affection for nature in general but especially with elements such as sea, salt, stones, clay and sand. This work is based on a series of combined journeys from his childhood in school classes that were sometimes dangerous to the age of two men, exposed to the fossils of life such as the sights, sounds and smells of both the countryside and the city.
These various journeys include two important journeys - on the one hand, the journey from the unconscious world to the conscious world and on the other hand physical journeys from the green land of Ireland to the lemon grove of South Italy.
Tadhg Ó Caoinleáin is a part-time secondary school teacher and counselor based in Dublin where he has lived for many years.
