In Ord agus in Eagar is a reference work and coursebook for would-be editors and for journalists and translators who regularly have to revise their own written Irish. There are comprehensive notes and exercises on aspects of copy-editing (grammar, official standard and dialect issues, and punctuation) and stylistic editing (improving the readability of the text). The copy-editing process is explored, including use of electronic aids and checklists. Particular attention is paid to the challenges encountered in editing Irish-language translated material.
