This book is a collection of thirty-five articles celebrating a very interesting period in Irish history and the history of Cloughaneely parish: the Renaissance, the early years of Coláiste Uladh, the heroes of the Resurrection - Patrick Pearse, Joseph Mary Plunkett and Ruairí Casement, and other notables who were involved with Coláiste Uladh in various ways. The lectures given in Gortahork over the 1916 Centenary weekend are also published here as well as republishing articles, reports and newspaper accounts etc. that time found in: An Claidheamh Soluis, Ardfheiseanna Conradh na Gaeilge, An Cumann le Béaloideas Éireann, The New Ireland Review, The Derry People and Donegal News, etc
At the end of the book are two articles describing the various events organized by the Commemoration Committee of Coláiste Uladh for 2016 as well as moving sermons given by Fr. Seán Ó Gallchóir, S.P. Gort an Choirce, about Séamus MacGéidigh, the great Irish language hero who died during the commemoration
