Publication in 1927, Dinneen’s Dictionary, as it is familiarly called, quickly established itself as the most popular of all modern dictionaries of the Irish Language.
Nearly eighty years later, and despite its pre-standard spelling and type, the Dictionary remains as essential, as useful and as popular as ever. For the first time since 1927, enlarged page and type sizes have been adopted in the reproduction of this Dictionary.
