The Life and Death of Thomas Russell.
Tomás Ruiséal, from Kilcooly near Ballydavid in West Kerry, was an idealistic young teacher and member of the Gaelic League. He joined the Irish Volunteers and died tragically after being bayonetted by British soldiers following a Sinn Féin meeting in Carrigaholt, Co. Clare in March 1918. His funeral became a rallying point for the people of West Kerry in their fight for Irish freedom.
